The basic relationship

fi8 is a B2B subscription product. Gyms subscribe to fi8 and pay for access; individual trainees and coaches do not pay fi8 directly and do not sign up on their own. Every trainee and coach account exists because a gym invited that person. There is no public sign-up for fi8.

By using fi8, whether as a gym admin, coach, or trainee, you agree to these terms.

Accounts and access

• Gym admins manage who has access to their gym's fi8 workspace, including inviting and removing coaches and trainees.
• Coaches and trainees access fi8 through an invitation from their gym and sign in using Google Sign-In.
• You're responsible for keeping your own Google account secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, tell your gym admin or contact fi8 directly.

Subscriptions and payment

Gyms pay a subscription fee for access to fi8. Billing is handled through Stripe. As of this writing, billing infrastructure is still being built, and pricing and payment terms will be confirmed directly with each gym before charges begin.

What happens if a gym's subscription ends

If a gym's subscription is cancelled or lapses, the gym will have a window of at least 30 days from the end of the subscription to export its member data before it is deleted. After that window, fi8 will delete the gym's data, including member accounts, workout history, and body composition records, from active systems. A gym admin can request an export of all member data at any time during this window by contacting hello@fi8.app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use fi8 to store or log data belonging to someone who hasn't agreed to be part of your gym or coaching relationship.
• Attempt to access another gym's data, or another member's data, outside of the access fi8's coach/trainee connection features explicitly grant you.
• Use fi8 in a way that disrupts the service for other gyms or users, or attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the app.
• Enter false body composition or medical information with intent to mislead another user (for example, a coach entering inaccurate scan data for a trainee).

Not a medical device

fi8 is a fitness and wellness tracking tool. It is explicitly not a medical device, and nothing in fi8, including the body composition metrics and the "bio age" estimate, constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. These are wellness estimates intended to help track fitness trends over time, not clinical measurements. Decisions about health and medical care should be made with a qualified healthcare professional, not based on fi8's output.

Ownership of data

Member workout and body composition data belongs to the gym and the individual member who generated it, not to fi8. fi8 is a tool for storing and displaying that data on their behalf. We don't claim ownership over your workout history or scan results.

Service availability

fi8 is provided "as is." We work to keep the service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of bugs. As an early-stage product, features and pricing may change, and we'll do our best to give gyms reasonable notice of material changes.

Limitation of liability

fi8 is an early-stage product built and operated by a small team. To the fullest extent allowed by law, fi8 is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data, arising from use of the service, beyond fixing the underlying issue and, where data loss is our fault, helping restore from backups where possible. This is not intended to waive protections you're entitled to under law, and this section in particular should be reviewed and likely rewritten by an attorney before these terms are treated as binding, since plain-language liability language like this is not the same as an enforceable legal clause.

Termination

fi8 may suspend or terminate a gym's access for violating these terms, including for acceptable-use violations described above. A gym may cancel its subscription at any time; the data retention terms above still apply after cancellation.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as fi8 evolves. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and notify gym admins of material changes.
